When we adopted Beck in China at 14 months, he had two words: Mama and Baba (mom and dad). Admittedly, "Baba" was MUCH more frequent for a long LONG time.
We haven't really heard any new words from Noodle other than the phonetics that he did have getting louder and more confident. After his ear surgery though, his babbling became MUCH more sophisticated and EUREKA...we are learning words!!!!!
His first (other) word was an appropriate "UH-OH!!!!" (Obviously spoken a lot around here). Soon to follow have been, "Bye-Bye!" and "Um" and "Baby"
He is working on: "No!" "Ball" and "Book"
We love hearing him talk. He has a beautiful voice. His sign language has picked up as well and he now signs regularly for: more, please, thank you, and ball (eat and book are emerging still)
